Securing Child Rights & Preventing Exploitation in Jharkhand
A Safe and Secure Childhood
Every child deserves a childhood free from exploitation, fear, and abuse. In the rural and tribal landscapes of Jharkhand, Adarsh Foundation is committed to protecting children from the severe vulnerabilities of child labor, trafficking, and early marriage.
The remote villages of districts like Koderma and Giridih have historically been vulnerable to child exploitation, particularly in informal sectors such as mica mining and agriculture. A lack of educational awareness, poverty, and isolation from mainstream services makes children in these primitive tribal settlements highly vulnerable.

Our safety programs focus on community-led protection networks, empowering youth, and collaborating with local administrations to enforce child rights strictly.
-
Eradicating Child Labor: Regular patrols and awareness drives in mining areas and brick kilns, followed by counseling and school enrollment for rescued children.
-
Preventing Child Marriage: Building community coalitions and Kishori Mandals (teenage girls' circles) to educate girls on health, rights, and vocational skills, and stopping child marriage incidents by involving Gram Pradhans (village heads).
-
Establishing VCPCs: Forming Village Child Protection Committees comprising teachers, local leaders, parents, and adolescent representatives to actively identify and report abuse.
